Being a highly disciplined unit, it is of most importance to understand where we stand in our organization, and the path one might be able to grow towards6th Kowloon Group follows military rules and the rank represents the Chain of Command.   Details on the roles and qualifications can be found under the Group's Constitution. Insignia should be shown proudly on Outdoor uniforms according to standard.

6th Kowloon Group by regulation is operated by a warranted Group Scout Leader (GSL), with Diocesan Boys’ School’s Headmaster (Sponsor Unit Representative) as President and Chief-Commander-in-Honor.  Group Chairman will be recommended and approved by GSL & President.  The three positions will be the primary voting members of the Group CouncilThe Group Council or Annual Group Meeting is a meeting for the 3 positions, hosted by GSL, to discuss and vote on important matters. Should there be a vote each member of the council will have a vote of equal weight. Annual discussion scope will surround the aspirations of the President, and how the GSL may bring the aspirations to reality. In between Group Councils, GSL will assume full control of the Group, advising and commanding through the Scouter Council with a Teacher-in-charge (TIC) acting as Liaison to School.  See Organization Chart: .
  
All Ranks and Insignias are commissioned by GSL within the Group without exception. Rank is the basic measure of “Authority”, while each Sectional Leader may have discretion on the difficulty in achieving each rank with GSL’s approval, Sectional Leaders may not on their own accord grant/promote/demote any ranks.  Officer ranks are for warranted leaders serving at Group Level only and universal for all sections.  Insignias are standardized and may not be altered.

6th Kowloon Group (the Group) is the Scout Group of Diocesan Boys’ School. The goal is to provide students with an advanced, disciplined and tailored training, to better equip the boys with survival skills through outdoor & indoor activities, and to provide opportunities for students to explore their potentials through teamwork & leadership trainings. The Group serves the best interests of Diocesan Boys’ School, putting the well-being of the School on high priority.

Organization
