6th Kowloon Group is a Scout Group, operated and regulated by a warranted Group Scout Leader (GSL), with Diocesan Boys’ School’s Headmaster (Sponsor Unit Representative) as President and Chief-Commander-in-Honor. A Group Chairman will be recommended and approved by GSL & President to help with Group events and administrations. These three positions (GSL, President and Chairman) will be the primary voting members of the Group Council. The Group Council is the official meeting for the 3 positions, hosted by GSL, to discuss and vote on important matters. The Group reports to the District Comissioner (of Kowloon Tong District (KLG)), where Scout Association of HongKong passes the proper authority to the GSL through the Chain of Command.
The Group (6th Kowloon) is seggregated into different sections, where the GSL will commission a SL per section as Commander. 6th Kowloon Group currently has 3 sections, 1, the Scout Troop, 2, Land Venture Unit & 3, Air Venutre Unit. Within each Section, the Commander (SL) may command and assign positions for members under an agreed constitution of the Section reporting to the GSL. Each Section has a slightly different Aim and Goal, and follows the same General Orders of the Group.
There is a Group Disciplinary Officer (GDO) and Group Treasury Officer (GTO), who are incharged with Discipline and the treasury of All sections of the Group.

Common Termology
Like many Military organization, 6th Kowloon Group has their own vocab for daily operations, here are some common ones:
Titles and Positions
These are how to address people properly with, and who's who.
Commonly used
Uniform Types
Ranks and Insignias
Also see Ranks and Insignias.
All Ranks and Insignias are commissioned by GSL within the Group without exception. Rank is the basic measurement of “Authority”, while each Sectional Leader may have discretion on the difficulty in achieving each rank with GSL’s approval, Sectional Leaders may not on their own accord grant/promote/demote any ranks (Though Sectional Leaders are fully authorized to grant ‘Positions’.) A Sectional Leader may however ‘suspend’ a person’s rank in extreme situations, subjected to a testimony in the next Scouter Council with full disclosure. Each section may have their own subset of Member Ranks and Insignias with the approval of GSL. Officer ranks are for warranted leaders serving at Group Level only and universal for all sections. Insignias are standardized and may not be altered.
